This year Christmas In The Village will celebrate its 15th year in the area as a community "festival" for all to enjoy.
The festival will be held on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at the marina and throughout our Village. If you would like to donate or participate as an organization or craft or food vendor please contact Jeremy Sims 404-993-5079.
Join us for our Community Worship Service Friday, November, 12th, 20201 will be held at 7:00 PM.
Location to be announced at a later time Powhatan Point.
As a matter of fact, Santa will help kick off the Holiday Season as he makes himself available for a Pancake Breakfast with Santa. This event, sponsored by Powhatan Captina Order of Eastern Stars, will be held at the Masonic Hall. You’re all invited!
Yes, you’re all invited! It’s a Community Event and our goal is to immerse village residents and visitors from surrounding areas in a Heap of Happy and Jolly Ho- Ho – Ho.
Santa won’t be alone in making the day special; and the Eastern Stars aren’t the only stars shining forth to perfect your Saturday. Businesses, churches, organizations and entertainers join forces to fill the day with fun, food, door prizes and a whole lot more … those super-wonderful festival flavors! All that’s left is for you to bring along your friends and enjoy.
Enjoy what? Our plans call for a myriad of talented Craft Vendor's to be located throughout the village and in booths located at Powhatan Marina, which is basically the hub of activities. From the Marina you can go in any direction and find more and more to savor and enjoy.
Parking: PARKING AT FOOTBALL FIELD ACROSS FROM MARINA
Programs: Program directories, maps and food menus are provided at participating businesses and key locations throughout the village.
You’ll find Information Booths at the Marina.
On Raffles: Friends of Christmas in the Village is sponsoring a raffle which will see a Winner of $500 and five Winners of $100 each. Also the seller of the $500 ticket will receive $100. The purchase of one ticket gives you seven chances to win. There is also a Quilt Raffle sponsored by Yard Décor and More. The quilt was made and donated by Audrey Ramsay.
Parade: The Annual Christmas Parade sponsored by Powhatan Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services will begin at 6:30 p.m. on November 09.
Trophies and Prizes:Trophies will be awarded at the fire station following the parade. As well, drawings will be held and prizes presented to the winning children. Refreshments will also be available.
